TUTORIAL 101: PALE PINKISH LIPS

I was asked by a few friends on how to get the palest yet pinkish and glossy lips. OK, it was so 2008 but still, this style is applicable till 2010. This is the best lips that can go with any style - to office, college, casual outing or even to pasar malam! Must bear in mind, it is also applicable with heavy or light eye makeup. Smokey eyes technique is suitable with this pale colour so please don't match your heavy eye makeup with heavy sunshine bright lip colour.

You may also refer to my 60's look that I made before.

This is how I do it and these are the stuff that I normally use;



Body shop Oui Tantalising Lip Butter. It has whitish shimmery element that will give effect to your lipstick. Should you don't have this, well you can always use - a concealer to conceal your lips. It does work too. Trust me. I don't use concealer anymore because I hate the taste everytime I eat something oily I feel my concealer like vanishing with the food and I eat them. Ewwww!!!



Next, get any pink lipstick you have. My favourite so far is L'oreal Glam Shine 606 Fire of Passion.



Finally, you will need that wet and shimmery effect. Go for shimmery natural lipgloss. I use Fruit Jelly Tube from The Face Shop. They have range of lovely candy colours. The rule that you should stick to when applying gloss on your lips - always start from the middle and stretch it out to smear it but please take note, not to cover your entire lips. Therefore, you won't end up looking like a salivating Rottweiler or a shiny duck lip!

Gabby and Momma went to saloon and behold people, these are the results after spending more than 3 effin' hours and burnt RM123.00 (4D junkies, please buy these numbers - 123. Thank you. Haha.)

RM 123.00 consists of hair wash for 2, hair treatment for 2, hair cut for 2 and hair bleaching for 1. Cheap ain't it?

I didn't go to Alan's Inspiration to get inspired. Nope, didn't go to see Mr. Toni and his Guy to cut my hair. I just went to a decent saloon named, ROWENA at Padungan. It's located just opposite the Grand Continental Hotel, at the first floor - there are Taka Bakery and Go Fun Kee Bak Kut Teh at the ground floor. You won't get lost. Oh, Rowena is the owner and she's a very bubbly Chinese-Iban lady who kept on asking whether Gabby wants to be her daughter-in-law. Haha. Kesian my girl. Awal awal sudah kena booked.

Try lah one day, you'll never regret. I guess it's the only saloon in Kuching that opens as early as 7:45 in the morning because she has to cope with her regular clients who work at the nearby banks. Take note that this saloon has existed for more than 20 years. Whoa.... lady bankers set their hair before going to work meh? Lihai...lihaii....

TIPS: SMOKEY EYESHADOW BROWN UNTUK MATA SEPET

Entri khas dalam Bahasa Melayu ini dibawakan khas untuk geng-geng macam si Gediks dan Cikgu Chris yang bubbly yang suka membebel tanya macam macam itu ini situ sini berkenaan dengan grooming dan yang sewaktu dengannya. Kali ini Miss Coki akan membuat 101 tutorial macam mana hendak membuat mekap mata yang paling simple, ringkas dan cepat.

Bahan-bahan yang diperlukan, ceh dah jadi macam rancangan masak masak la pulak.

• Eyeshadow yang ada warna hitam, cokelat tua, cokelat muda ataupun keemasan.

• Berus untuk eyeshadow - untuk mencalit dan blending.

Oh, please mind my over dry hand. Kering siot tangan gua.

• Mascara yang power. Ai gunakan Maybelline Unstoppable Curly Extension. Pergghh panjang nama.

1. Ambil eyeshadow yang hitam dan tepekkan di bahagian kelopak bawah (1). Pastikan jangan di blend terus, ambik banyak banyak tau. Jangan susah hati kalau comot.

2. Pada bahagian tengah kelopak mata (2) ambil warna cokelat muda atau tua, ikut suka koranglah. Gunakan teknik menepek (pat lightly) dan jangan sesekali blend.



Ha, nampak tak kat bawah hitam kat atas cokelat. Lepas ni baru kita blend.

3. So, sekarang u ambil blend brush dan blend kan bahagian (1) dan (2). Untuk mendapatkan rona atau bayangan kehitaman di tepi mata, tarik sedikit warna hitam dari (1) dan blend di hujung korner mata.




4. Sekarang dah nampak kan?? Kalau masih tak puas hati sebab nampak sangat ketara di antara hitam dan cokelat itu, sila blend lagi dan lagi.

5. Masih ingat tak berus yang digunakan untuk mencalit warna hitam? Gunakan berus itu untuk mewarna bahagian alis mata bahagian bawah. Apabila membuat mekap mata begini, sila jangan guna penggaris mata (eyeliner).



6. Tu dia. Nampakkan??? Akhir sekali gunakan mascara dan kasi mascara kaw-kaw tebalnya untuk mendapatkan efek bulu mata pelesu. Korang tentu tanak buang masa pasang bulu mata pelesu dalam mengejar masa nak turun ofis, nak buat susu anak lagi kan? Haha.

Mekap mata ini sesuai gila untuk awek yang mata sepet seperti Miss Coki dan juga untuk yang tidak mempunyai soket mata macam minah salleh.

OK, eyeshadow dan mascara semua adalah dari rangkaian Maybelline. Kerana diriku begitu berharga kaedahnya. Haha.


p/s: Untuk mengelakkan daripada mendapat serpihan hitam sememeh di bawah mata, sila sapukan bedak tabur terlebih dahulu. Selepas selesai semuanya barulah kesan tadi disapu dengan berus kipas.

M.A.C Cleanse Off Oil is RM 95.00
ZA Deep Cleansing Oil is around RM 24 ++.




M.A.C Studio Moisture Fix Lotion Hydratante Studio RM 118.00, meanwhile Olay Total Effects was bought for RM 39.00!! What a bargain! Get the lowest price at Guardian now as they are having Year End Sale. Normal price is RM 48++. This product rocks.




Makeup prime is an essential before applying foundation. It helps makeup to stay longer too. I don't wear foundation lately not even after changing to the mousse type. So I opt for the-forever-cheap Fair & Lovely Multi Vitamin face lotion. Cheap but very effective! I managed to 'bleach' my face in 2 weeks. M.A.C Prep N' Prime is sold at RM 90.00 but Fair & Lovely? Less than RM9.00!!



For that face fixing water spray, I love both of M.A.C and ZA but talking about budgetwise, M.A.C is RM62.00 and ZA?? RM 24.90. Same function but has big gap in price. Pheww!

So ladies, what do you think? Expensive skin care doesn't guarantee you with flawless skin. The reason why did I change my skincare range just because I received complaints from my colleagues telling me that I was getting tanner and darker. *sigh* What more to say to my pimples?



We all love and dying to have fair and flawless skin. I mean who doesn't? But I don't want my skin to be as pale as the Cullens. Haha!! To tell the truth, Fair & Lovely has actually saved my life, I mean, my skin. I've got my normal complexion back.

DAILY MAKEUP STUFF

OK. This time I nak tunjuk mende yang I bawak dalam makeup tote everyday to work.



This is the magic brush, I call it. No. 219 from M.A.C. It is normally used to blend the eyeshadow and it works effectively. Next to it is Prep & Prime for lips. Say goodbye to chappy dry lips. First, apply this to prep your lips then followed by any shade of lipstick that you like. Even the cheapest RM5 lipstick (bought a cheap lipstick at Guardian recently) looks gorgeously on my lips.



I tak boleh hidup tanpa these two things - foundation powder and blusher!



Foundation ni actually from the Lightful collection. Since takde casing lagi so they gave me M.A.C Studio punya casing. I suke sangat guna foundation powder ni sebab my skin is actually belongs to oily type so I don't like to put on liquid foundation. It makes my skin more oily and shiny in the afternoon.

Next to it is a blusher. It's M.A.C. Style Warrior Beauty Powder Blush. Abaikan warnanya yang keunguan itu. It's actually glides in reddish purple hue on my cheek which is so sexy! To note, it's actually a limited edition.



For that sexy pout and flawless look I pulak gunakan M.A.C concealer dan M.A.C lipstick. The concealer I tell you, it's up to you to put it on. Nak guna sponge, berus atau jari pun boleh! My face memang prone to have blemishes and pimple scars so I just cover them with this concealer. Sangat hebat! A great product and this is the secret to a flawless like porcelain finished skin. Got it?



My eyeshadows. I don't use M.A.C since I have a lot in stock. These babies are from Maybelline and AVON. Cheap? Yes, they are but they never fail to impress my eyelids.

Pardon me for not giving any details on the shades or colors since I don't have them by my side when I'm blogging about them. Anyway, I consult the promoter before purchasing and they help me a lot picking the right colors that suit my skin shade.

MY SKINCARE PRODUCTS - A REVIEW ON M.A.C

Halo! Kita bertemu kembali di blog yang mcm Chipsmore ini. Tapi takpelah sekurang2nya we have invisible readers to enlighten this blog, katanya.... OK, please click on the pictures to view them in larger size.

OK. Just to answer questions for my skincare hauls by Miss Gediks. I berpeluang untuk membeli dan mencuba produk M.A.C selepas menghadiri 'hands-on training' di The Spring Mall, Kuching baru-baru ini. Seriously, seriau jugak sebenarnya to try new stuff but since dah giler sangat ngan mekap so it's no harm to try dowh! Voucher sebenarnya untuk RM250, berapa ketul sangatlah produk M.A.C yang dapat dibeli kan? Yang buat I geram sangat nak memiliki barangan M.A.C sebab lepas kita guna produk derang, the effect was superb and my skin pulak, flawless!

So, by the help of the lovely ladies from M.A.C, I managed to grab some items and guess what? My total was: RM930.00. 70 more Ringgit to RM1 ribu ringgit. MATI AKU!!! Minus the voucher, I've got myself discounted down to RM680.00. Phewww!! With my shaking hands, pardon me I've never bought makeup or any skincare that accumulated to USD 250.00 in my entire lifetime. Yeah. They also presented me with a free makeover session and I can call them up anytime for an appointment. No point at all after spending so much!

Anyway, I'm gonna start with the skincare.

Coming home after a long working hours with heavy make up on, this is the best product to emulsify and cleansing your face thoroughly. It reminds me of ZA punya produk yang I pernah gunakan dulu. Well, minyak ini sangatlah berkesan sampai mascara I yang tebal 2-3 coating tu boleh tanggal dengan mudahnya. An industry-strength oil-based makeup remover that's gentle on the skin. Botanically formulated with oils of olive fruit, evening primrose and jojoba seed and absolutely 100 percent mineral-oil free. Massages onto the skin to loosen all makeup, including waterproof mascara. Emulsifies into a lotion-type liquid with water: rinses off easily, no tissues required - and no residue! OK. Siapa kata kulit muka berminyak macam I tak memerlukan pelembap? I sangka macam tu jugak dulu but hence, I was wrong. This is an Antidote for dryness! Butter-rich, lightweight, no-grease formula keeps skin super-hydrated, plump and soft. Mega-moisturizing, preps skin for makeup, then helps it stay. Fast-absorbing. Antioxidants protect and nourish. Time-release delivery system means moisture and emollients are released onto the skin continually/all day. Enhanced with mineral-enriched spring water, it’s an instant spritz of moisture. Selepas menggunakan toner, sapukan pelembap ini serata di seluruh wajah sebelum menggunakan apa-apa produk seterusnya. A must have product in your list.


Selalunya selepas pelembap korang akan gunakan foundation betul tak? Heppp..! Nanti dulu. You have to prep and prime your face so that your makeup will last and stay longer. Sapukan merata macam kita gunakan pelembap tu. One more thing I like about this base, it has thick texture and pearlised like. Check your fingers after every application. I guess this special base is actually giving your skin a special effect tapi muka korang takla berkilat2 as if korang pakai glitter sapu kat muka gitu. Giler hapa pakai disco dust tabur kat muka, hahaa... An ultra-fluid lotion formulated with special-effect silicones. Calms and soothes the skin, blots away excess oil, and evens out skin redness. Improves the laydown and application of foundation or powder.

Lepas habis melakukan proses bermekap itu *skema punya ayat. LOL* OK, this is the best part. Close your eyes and spray this magic water within 3 feet radius to all over your face. Aaaaahh... so refreshing. Remember, we want mist not to spray too much. Jangan sampai air tu meleleh2 as if korang tengah cuci muka. The reason is, this will help your makeup to stay and set. An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. Adds radiance, finishes makeup. Spray it on. Skin drinks it up! Oh yes, every night after applying toner and pimple lotion I always spray it because I love the tickling freshness on my face. You know whut? I have this problem since gaining my sweet weight. Painful to find shoes for my feet are big and wide. I'm wearing size 10, if you wish to know how hard it is to find my suitable with pretty pattern especially when you are living in Kuching.

Yes! Arrrgggggghhhhh.... Help me!! I have limited choices and style therefore when I go to work, I wear this type of shoes;


And I will wear this ballerina/loafers type when I go to outing!
