Scholarship Opportunity

Scholarship Opportunity through the Chicago Children's Museum

Chicago Children's Museum (CCM) is committed to supporting the educational goals of the diverse communities they serve through innovative programs that elevate children's learning through play. That is why CCM is excited to announce an exclusive scholarship opportunity for educators through the Student and Educator Scholarship Program!

The scholarship program will provide a total of four free learning opportunities through June 30, 2012 to communities in need. The Student and Educator Scholarship Program strives to deepen relationships with schools and organizations in the Hermosa, North Lawndale, Rogers Park, West Ridge and Washington Park communities, as well as support educators and parents in their work to provide meaningful learning opportunities for children and families.  Click here for detailed information.  

Here are a few key things to keep in mind about the scholarship:

Eligibility:
Among other requirements that are listed in detail on the application (attached), the Student and Educator Scholarship Program is open to individuals working EITHER in: 1) a school where 80% or more students receive free or reduced lunch, OR 2) a 501c3 non-profit organization that serves low-income families. Individuals must also work within the following zip codes to qualify: 60615, 60626, 60637, 60639, 60641, 60645, 60659, and 60660.

Deadline:
Applications must be received by CCM by November 30, 2011.  Awardees will be notified by December 30, 2011, with programs taking place between January 3 and June 30, 2012.
