THE DECLINING IN JUNK FOOD PACKAGING QUALITY

When I was babysitting for Gabby, hubby sent a few packets of 'keropok' (snacks) for us. I have never tasted this 'CRISTA' D-Jack brand before. It looks intimidating because it comes in Crab flavour. I can see how 'cheap' the packaging is, so contrasts with my taste. I'm the type who loves Pringles, Twisties, Mamee - mostly the famous brands. I'm very impressed with CRISTA size.

Took a scissor and snapped the upper part of the plastic. Poooossshhhhh.... the air expelled.

Tried to reach and sample the 'keropok'. OMG. Is this all the portion I'm gonna have??? See how little the quantity of the keropok, it makes me sick. Despite the sad view of the packaging, hmmmm, taste wise? Crispy and sweet. Price wise? Nope.

MAGGI 'RENDAM' 1MALAYSIA STYLE

I'd like to wish all Malaysians, SELAMAT HARI MALAYSIA!!

On the 6th day of Hari Raya. People are still on a long, 2 weeks holiday. I can sniff the incoming 'tsunami' next week. I hate being alone in the office especially during this time. Whenever I am on leave there will be, at least someone sitting at my place. Now? I have to sit at two places or sometimes answering 3-4 lines at one time. So sickening.

I would like to get your attention that out of 30 people in our unit, less than 10 people are working within these 2 weeks. I highly hope that our Ministers can look into this matter. It is OK during Ramadhan, people go back as early as 4:00 p.m. as long as they start working before 8 a.m. and skip the lunch break. I suggest that JPA should hire more qualified staff from other cultural or racial background. OK?

This is my breakfast. I didn't have time for breakkie at home since I woke up late, at 7:00 a.m. How did I cook it? Microwave? Nayy... I did it old school way. Maggi 'Rendam' (soaked in hot water) Malaysian's Boarding School style. KAH KAH KAH!

MAGGI MEE, FAST TO COOK, GOOD TO EAT! - Just like the 90's commercial ads. Soak for 20 minutes using hot boiling water. Tear the flavour powder sachet, I prefer Curry, excuse me and cover the noodles. Voila!!

MAGGI MEE, 1MALAYSIA STYLE.

Me liiikeyyy!! *clap clap*

HOW LONG DO YOU SLEEP EVERYDAY?

Sleepy?

Lately, I don't look at sleeping as something that is essential in life. Why do I say so? My sleeping pattern is very weird. No matter what time I will go to sleep the duration has to be like within three to four hours. Yikes.

When I go to sleep at 10 p.m., I will wake up at 3 a.m., go to the washroom and then guess what? Checking my Facebook because my eyes are already widely awakened. :p . Then I will go sleepy again and fall asleep. When I re-open my eyes again the time is already 7:00 a.m. I am so used to it and yet, I still can focus at my work and still energetically doing my daily chores.

Why was that? Some people say that sleeping for less than 8 hours is ain't good. I agree with that. But for me there are a whole lot more things to do better than sleeping like reading, baking, internet surfing, just to list down a few. LoL. Or maybe I'm too oriented and committed with other things out there. Forget to mention, I rarely take afternoon power nap! Hahaha. Very rare.

OK. It's time to sleep. Gotta wake up early tomorrow. My PIL can't babysit Gabby so I have to take her to my office. Please pray that she will behave. *cross fingers*

Till then, take care and nite nite.

WHAT CAN WE SELL DURING PARISH SALES - IDEAS ANYONE?

There will be a Parish Sales held on 3rd October next month. We have decided to join the fellow parishioners and become instant entrepreneurs on that day! $$$$$$$ - for God. *wink*

St. Thomas Cathedral's Parish Sales - Pic courtesy of Ashley

I had on and off conversations via the phone yesterday with my sis. We were so excitedly listing down the stuff that we think that attractive, interesting and most importantly - can sell. Let us see;

  • fried beehoon
  • fried kueh tiaw
  • fried mee +__+
  • salad chicken rice
  • ice cream
  • kacang rebus (steamed peanuts)
  • makeups from AVON - yes, there will be a mini counter!
  • packed candies
  • plants (in plastic bag not potted ones)
  • mineral water
  • can drinks
  • cupcakes

.... and the list goes on!

Nah, aren't we very dreamers ambitious?

You tell.

p/s: My Mom's group will be selling Kolok Mee *faint* and Fried Bishop Nose. No, not that nose but it is a part of chicken's body. Haha!! Me likeeeyyy!!

RM4.00 HAIRCUT - CHEAP PIXIE LOOK

Yesterday the weather was quite cold which was ideal for us to go out. My hair is growing longer and thicker so it gives me a very hard times whenever I'm sweating. The rashes will make me jump like a monkey, trying my best to reach my back and scratch them till bleed! Haha. No. Not to that extent. Hey, true what? I can't stand the rashes yet my hair can't grow longer and longer because they tend to fall easily.

Hubby always goes to this particular 'salun cap ayam' (cheap saloon) hahaha! at BDC. Just opposite the Satria Court BDC - the apartment. Don't underestimate this place. It might be small but it always packed with people! We have to sit outside and wait for our turn. During normal day, I mean, out of fasting month, we normally will grab a chair at the next door 'warung' and have Teh Tarik Peng.

We were so lucky yesterday because we arrived earlier and there were about 4-5 customers awaiting outside. I dashed in and instructed the 'taukey neo' to cut my hair, 'shoulder length layered'. See the results.

Cute ain't it? Say cute lah.. hahaha... I feel lighter, fresher and younger +_____+. The best part was, I was charged for only RM4.00. This morning, I received my first compliment from the waitress at our favorite breakfast spot. Love my new cut hair, smell fresh like newly mowed grass, hahaha!!

THE FIERCE, VICIOUS & AGGRESIVE MLM PEOPLE!

MLM. Stands for Multi Level Marketing.

MLM is a term that describes a marketing structure used by some companies as part of their overall marketing strategy. The structure is designed to create a marketing and sales force by compensating promoters of company products not only for sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of other promoters they introduce to the company, creating a downline of distributors and a hierarchy of multiple levels of compensation. - taken from Wikipedia

I've been accidentally joining few MLM businesses. Accidentally because I was forced too. But there are some MLM businesses that I joined, with my willing. Yes, because I love their ways of approach. Not only approaching the customers but the new members! Some of the 'good' MLMs are like A***, D** & P*** just to name a few.

Recently, Mr. Kingkong was introduced to join this MLM. I don't want to reveal it but if you still stubbornly thinking and anticipating about it, come, just YM or FB me. Haha. Will tell you the name of the company.

1st, we welcome them to home. We were so excitedly briefed and were promised with this and that. Was analyzed thru our dreams to own a dream house, big car, overseas vacations etc. Then, we were introduced to the products and had the chance to sample them and with some demonstrations. Cool. Before they left our house, we were equipped with some motivational books and CDs to read and listen. Super cool.

WHOAAAA!!!!! - excited new MLM members

I remember one of our friends, L went to our house few years back, promoting the E**** water filter. As he was our guest, we served him with hot Milo and some titbits because he seemed so exhausted after the vigorous explaination on the water consumption and pollution. Very dedicated marketing guy. Do you know what was his reaction? He said, "THANK YOU UNCLE, AUNTY. I ONLY DRINK THIS WATER, ONLY FROM THIS FILTER". Celaka!! This was so funny that I couldn't hold it anymore and burst into my biggest laughter!! He can come to that most extreme level with his so called 'quote'. Then my FIL sarcastically asked him, "SO, TELL ME BOY. WHEN YOU MEET YOUR CLIENT AT KOPITIAM, WHAT DRINK DO YOU ORDER THEN?". He seemed so not comfortable with my FIL's question so he said, "NOPE. I JUST BRING THIS BOTTLE CONTAINING FILTERED DRINKING WATER, FILTERED BY THIS WATER FILTER." I tell you, you should have seen his proud face when he said that. I then went on laughing more and more, I am sorry. Very, very sorry. *am laughing while typing this*. So funny when I rethink about it.

Well, back to my story. Since the first visit, we were drowned by phone calls, everyday asking whether we are free during the weekends. If we tell them that we can't, they will ask us to attend the discussion-lah, meeting-lah, beauty clinic-lah.. and the list goes on! All happens during weekdays, at 8:00 p.m. onwards. One thing I realize about this MLM, all the top notches are Engineers, Businessmen, etc. None of them were Durian seller, housewives, factory worker or what more to say, a civil servant like me.

EEEEEEERRRRGGGHHH!! - Fed up faces

Please understand us. We arrive at home only after 6:15 p.m. The moment I take off my shoes, I took a cup of tea and check whether the food is enough for dinner. If not, then I have to roll up my sleeve and start to cook. The moment I finish with the dinner and dishwashing it is already 8:30 p.m. Then I will go and take my bath and then checking Gabby's schoolwork. TV? I rarely watch TV only during weekends. Only after Gabby goes to sleep then I will steal the time to check emails or reading some craps from magazines before going to sleep. Enough with the sour face welcomed me coming back late from office in the past, I don't want any more domestic feud at home. I wanna move out from the house one day (God's willing +), without hurting anyone's feelings.

I'm sorry. I just don't like being forced and pushed. Just give us some space to adjust ourselves first then we can adjust people out there. To the successful MLM members out there, I wish you the best!!

MERDEKA IN LUNDU!

Went back to Lundu yesterday to transport over the old bathroom and toilet doors from the old house. Yes, we are going to recycle all the planks, doors, staircase for our 'retreat' house in Lundu. That is one of Daddy's dreams. Soon Daddy, you will see the house built beautifully by uncle. My Dad was actually from Saratok but he loved Lundu very much, I know why. He met Mom here, for the first time ♥ ♥ ♥

My Mom is the one from Lundu, precisely at Kampung Klaoh. Just a minute away from the famous ferry, then the coarsely made bridge. *giggle*.

The weather was so bright yesterday. Damn hot! The journey from Kota Samarahan was like one and half hour because we drove slowly. Needless to tell you that I had a packet of Yeo's Winter Melon drink, a bottle of soda, bottles of Mineral water. I can't stand the heat that is why I gulped the drinks just like a fat camel. By the way, have you ever seen a fat camel before? I don't think so. Haha.

When we arrived, I only sat in my aunty's house for a while. It was super warm inside and I was not comfortable to sit on the floor. Yes, blame it on my size. I felt suffocated. Therefore, I joined my hubby and brother Ted sitting at the storehouse.

Brother Ted, sitting on my cousin's bike. You can see hubby's leg hahaha, my nephew and cousin in the picture.

Baby Ashlyn, my cute little niece. I felt sorry for seeing her tried to follow her elder cousins and being rejected because she is still small.

... and Gabby, she still looks OK today, even after long hours playing under the sun!

So what did you guys do yesterday? Tell me!!

MISSING HIM BADLY BUT CAN'T FIND HIM ANYWHERE

Friday is here again. Never realize how fast the time flies, ain’t it? Listening to ‘Merindukanmu’ by D’Masiv whilst typing this. Yes. I’m missing someone. I miss him especially at the end of the month when I would come over and handover the monthly ‘allowance’ to Mom. I miss him on Friday when he would call me as early as 8:30 a.m. and ask whether I’m coming for dinner or not. I miss to sit next to him when we were having dinner together and he would force me to top up my rice till 3 times! Therefore, look at my size is a living proof! =D

Two more months, it will be the 1st anniversary. We have gone thru a year without him. Despite my big size laughter and super wide joker smile, I’m still in agony. Frankly speaking, I never reveal it to anyone, except this blog. Am crying while typing this, again. I am so fragile when I think about him. He was my best friend and we were always being there for each other. There would be a time when I couldn’t hold it anymore, I would press his handphone number just to console this broken heart. Eventhough it is just ‘toot toot toot’ (DIALING SOUND) but the toots relieve my pain in its own way.

Recently, I'm attached to this TV3, ‘Epilog Syurga Cinta’. I think God knows how much I miss him so He asked Bob Lokman to act because he resembles my daddy. They way he sits, he talks, he walks and jokes is so my dad, so much.

Have never thought that he left us this soon .........

Dear Jesus, thanks for lending daddy to us. Memories that we share will always be cherished forever. Please take care of him,....Will You?. Thanks. *wink*

VICKS NOSTRIL STICK IS SO ADDICTIVE!

You might think that I am crazy but I do love to sniff it. It all started with a recent cold. Actually, I feel that I love the smells of petrol, Dettol, kerosene and other stimulating smell. Don't get me wrong, I don't like to sniff glue.

I know it is not good for my health but the sinful, calming feeling could not stop me from doing it more and more. LoL. Ewww.. I sound so scary now, don't I??

On the brighter side, I sniff the stick to clear my blocked nostril during cold, which is good. I don’t experience stuffed lung (breathing problem, chest pain when breathing) everytime I ascend the staircase as I’m asthmatic, it is the hardest job to do, haha. So, it helps a lot when l lesser the usage of my inhaler (drug). Unfortunately, the stick becomes my special type of drug now, sort of since it is very addictive to sniff. It's not a cute thing to do.

This is cute. *bragging* Haha!

This is NOT CUTE. I repeat NOT CUTE AT ALL!! My addiction is up to this level, I tell you. Oh yes, the stick's minty aroma was almost gone so that is why I stuck the thing to my nosel. Haha.

Don't worry pals, I'm still under control.

FAKE GREEN PEAS (KACANG HIJAU)

I believe that many of our Muslim friends have started buying cakes, sweets and other titbits to be served during Hari Raya. Not forgetting those nuts like Pistachios, cashew nuts and green peas. Talking about the green peas, I received and email from my friend regarding the 'fake' green peas. Aiyoyo amma!! I thought that people in China can only imitate electronic devices and garments but green peas too???

Green peas are green rounded pea seeds that are sweet and starchy in taste. Green peas contains twice the protein of most vegetable, so they are a healthier substitute for meat. Three quarters cup of peas provides 6 grams of protein, plus thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium and 645 units of vitamin A.

Unfortunately most of food industries in developing nations cheating the customers with fake greens peas which are prepared from toxic chemicals (dyes). These industries preparing the green peas form brown peas (cheaper) by soaking them in dye solution for overnight.

All these chemicals have been banned by US food and drug administration in 1974 itself. Frequent consumption of fake green peas leads to colon and bladder cancer. All these fake green peas banned in US, Canada, all European countries and other developed countries.

Identification of fake green peas:

1. Put the peas in boil water for 30 seconds, water turns to green color.

2. After consumption check your tongue to observe green color stains and light bitter in taste.

Symptoms:

1. Stomach irritation, pain or acidity.

2. Urine turns to light green color.

3. Mild head ache.

Therefore, I suggest that everytime we eat the dried peas, don't chew them first. Let them sit on our tongues for a couple of minutes. If our tongues turn green then that's it. Green dye is involved.

For more info, you may read the articles regarding the fake peas here:

COUSIN'S WEDDING AND GOLDEN EYESHADOW, WHHEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My cousin, Clarence wedded Rin last week on 7th August. Congratulations to both of them. This sweet couple met 2 years ago - she was introduced by his friend. *sweet* Can't believe that my baby cousin, who used to run and play around with my brother is now a married Man. How time flies and yes, a sign that am getting older too! Haha.

To celebrate the golden night, I wore golden brown tone makeups. Sorry no fake lashes, I guess it is very common to wear thick fake lashes when attending function so I just let some she-males other girls that nite wore them. Haha.

Oh, sorry for the pic's bad quality. I used my handphone to snap it!

JUST SAY "SORRY.THANKS FOR YOUR OFFER" IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT

OLaaaaaa!!

Golf set picture?

Yes. Hubby's golf set is on SALE. Rarely used, it was then bought in 2009. Tell you what, you will get the set that comes with a bag, few golf balls and a tee. RM500.00. Special price for Malaysia Mega Sale. +______+. So, if you're not interested please tell your friends, parents, family members or even aliens out there about it. Please contact me via this blog should there is a serious buyer available alive.

We have actually, being fraud twice last week.

First, I received an email in broken English (at least my broken English sounds, crispier) offering me for RM800.00, to send by Pos Laju to London. Then, he simply pretended to write to his Account Officer and asked him to released RM800.00 to my Maybank account. Next, he sent me email and instructed me to SEND/POST the item. The receipt/bill later, will be scanned and emailed to him. The reason given because the payment was still pending. Once they received the item, then my money will be released.

Very stupid. So so stupid. I wrote to Mudah.com and told them about it. They warned me not to post the item unless we received the money. Thanks to Mudah.com, they took action so quickly. ♥♥♥ Furiously, I wrote back to the 'buyer' and told him that I would only deal with him if he seriously wants the item. Oh yeah, told him about his broken English and it is very normal nowadays receiving spam emails from A**ican nationality just by reading the first sentence. Sounds sarcastically racist! lol. To date, I did not receive any reply from the sender. What a chicken! Burnt chicken! LoL.

Anyway, should you guys interested please, seriously, contact me via this blog. Oh yes, for customers nearby Kuching only, I can make arrangement for you guys to see the set. Thanks for viewing!

I DID IT OR I DID NOT?

Ola!!

I actually don't like to put up my ugly pictures in my own blog. I look retard, f*t & fugly.

But I change my mind this time because when I read Mama Belian's blog, regarding her attempt to diet, I was excited! At least she has effort to do so. Recently, I tried to SKIP RICE and replaced it with noodles and bread. It went well until last few weeks. Yes. When I'm tense, I tend to eat more. I dug my old photos and compare them with my latest picture. From my face, I can see some grams have been shed away. See to prove.

I look like a Char Sio Bao.

Round tummy. Hate it.

Oh, yeah, just cut my hair. See that curl? Haha.

Karen and I at the Waterfront. Ignore the balloons. Haha.

Last week. I've got CHIN!! Can you see my CHIN!!!! Yahoooo! Eh, my face looks longer now, hahahaa.....

Sadly, it seems that my mission is drifting away from me.... I start back to enjoy cooking and baking. DUH! *cross fingers* I wanna look less fatter (haha!!) on Daddy's 1st death anniversary in October. I.am.working.hard.now. Bad devil, please forget your intention to drag me, lol.

I don't know how am I gonna do it but I will surely do something! Pray for me!!

PLEASE BACK OFF!

Recently, I receive a lot of comments in Chinese characters inside my blog. Since I can't read them, I just delete them all. Well, fair enough because they are all spammers, and sometimes the comment s would lead to some ridiculous websites. What? To put words verifications? Yes. I did, I did but it is still happening too. I'm hoping to receive many comments, dying to see some real comments from real people out there, reciprocating with my blog. I welcome everyone with my open arms. *hugs.

I know my blog isn't popular as Kenny Sia's or Huai Bin's but it is good enough as a medium for me to loosen my tense after working the whole day. Personal attacks? Hmmm... so far I've ever received one or two like that so that doesn't bother me much. I just regard them - as a barking dog upon seeing the full moon. Not howling. It's barking, ruff ruff!!

OK. Time to sign off. Need to wash my hair. +_+
