v Subsidized (low-income), furnished, SRO/studios
v Vintage building in the Uptown Community, close to public transportation
v Rent includes heat and utilities
v Units include a kitchenette with some private baths and some bathroom suites
v Elevator, Laundromat, and 24/7 desk clerk
v On-site property management, maintenance and resident support services
v Activities included to build community and provide a healthy environment
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION
1. Only for single adults with very low income – at or below 50% AMI.
2. All applicants must be homeless by HUD’s definition, which is staying in an emergency homeless shelter or living in a situation not fit for human habitation, such as on the street, in an abandoned building, etc.
3. This is NOT family housing.
How to get on the Waitlist for Carlton Apartments
The Carlton Waitlist will be open at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011. The waitlist will stay open until it reaches the limit of 150 applicants. Then it will close. Applicants must complete a Waitlist Interest Form at the Carlton Apartments. Applicants usually line up early, way before 8:00 a.m. Here are the details:

Doors open at 8:00 a.m., or earlier if the line is long.
WAITLIST WILL CLOSE WHEN IT REACHES 150 APPLICANTS
