About this event:
A representative from the Chicago Public Schools will conduct an hour long presentation to provide information on K-8 Magnet and Selective Enrollment programs in the Chicago Public Schools and to provide an overview of the application processes for these elementary programs, as well as a number of high school programs.

Support the CPS "Back to School" Supply Drive!






CPS is currently sponsoring its annual "Back to School" supply drive. Below you will find the many ways to help CPS with the annual campaign.


Kits for Kidz

Through SchooKidz Inc., a Kits for Kidz program, donors have the opportunity to purchase essential school supplies—pens, pencils, glue and folders—to benefit the district’s homeless students. Kits range from between $11-$18, and are needed for students in all grade levels. Purchase a kit today and make a difference in one student's life for an entire school year.

Uniforms and school supplies

Donations to our general supply drive will buy uniforms and school supplies for CPS students. Donate today .

Children First Fund

If you would like to make a monetary contribution to help purchase  uniforms and supplies, please send a check payable to the “Children First Fund,” CPS’ 501c3 organization .  In the memo section of the check write “Uniform and Supply Drive” and mail it with a note describing your intentions to:

Safety For All




"Safety for All: Addressing Anti-LGBTQ Bullying in Illinois Schools"
Presented by: Shannon Sullivan, MPH Executive Director of Illinois Safe Schools Alliance


Learning objectives include: Education on how adolescents develop and the effect of homophobia and heterosexism on youth, education on the level of violence towards LGBTQ youth in schools and the effect on learning, and to provide tools to be used for the safety and support of LGBTQ youth and other students affected by homophobia and heterosexism.
