Bailey was just, uh .... helping me. I guess you could say he was sort of supervising.
I had noticed on TV this morning there were wind warnings for our area. I had not thought much about it until I looked up and saw this.

The wind was starting to pick up stronger and stronger from the south. I could see swirls of dirt lifting into the air. A wall of dirt was coming towards Bailey and me.

Above us the trees were beginning to bend and leaves were getting pulled off the trees.

The dirt was filling the air. It reminded me of being in a blizzard.

Looking to the north I could not see past the road. I had never seen anything like this before.

I yelled at Bailey to come into the house. I didn't know if he could hear me.

This is what I saw as I stepped into the house.

Wind is a powerful force. Nothing to mess around with. Bailey and I are lucky as our damage, so far, has been limited to losing shingles, tree limbs, etc.
This is only a taste of what people have to deal with when they are hit by a tornado. It makes you very, very humble.
Take care.
